I loved this one. The hero has a WOW factor that is off the charts and there are 2 more to go!! Both the H&h had some serious issues to work thru in their lives but you could understand, sympathize and cheer them on as they work thru them.I had a few problems. ONE, there is not a female on this planet that would let the bitch ex-wife sleep on the couch regardless the time of night! And second, I did not like that he moved to Montana and left that beautiful farm behind. I know, bad memories! He had a bad ex-wife that at this point was no longer a problem.
She is a teacher, second rate house, a rat bastard ex-boyfriend and for gosh sakes, she was raped at 14 and almost killed. I would think those bad memories trump his. He had a big supportive family, a job he loved, a town he practically owned, horses, etc. EVERYTHING. She had a job, a few friends (2 that I counted) and a house in bad repair. Now, read this book and then tell me, would you have given him up for THAT? They had a HEA but I thought another ending would have been better. He could have gone after her and then moved her to Arizona, that would have made me a whole lot happier! I enjoyed the book and I HIGHLY recommend it.

Great Story, I just fell in love with them all. It sounds like a place I'd love to Live at. Kept your interrest all the way through. A book that is hard to stop reading.
I just love all of Jennifer Hayden's books. They are well written and the plots are excellent. I will read all of The Callahans stories.
I enjoyed this romance book. I sometimes wanted Kylie to tell people to mind their own business, but I guess realistically most people have an annoying busybody in their life. I'll definitely be checking out the sequel which I think is going to be fun considering which characters are up.
Four stars for another good book by Jennifer Hayden. The Callahans series have been great. Storyline so interesting about this family and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will continue to read rest of this series and I recommend this book to readers who enjoy the romance and intrigue.

This was a typical romance, ok but forgettable. It had the usual instant love, and sex after knowing each other a few days. There was angst concerning previous trauma and betrayal. Then there was the usual break up because one of them was afraid to trust and love again. Like we didn't know there would be an HEA.
An Arizona sheriff who has an ex-wife who cheated on him and a Montana school teacher who was raped when she was young meet by accident when Kylie's car breaks down on the way to visit her friend. When they discover her friend is marrying his brother, sparks begin to fly and while Kylie has to overcome her fears of men, Trey has to work through the hate he feels for what his wife did. In the end, all is well that ends well.
This was a well-written novel. It did drag a little and had
a very well-done but sexually explicit scene. It had other material
that was adult content...not a good book for YA to read.
It was an appealing story of a young woman still coming "to grip"
with a savage rape when she was only fourteen. She, however,
overcame the trauma too quickly for it to be reality. Considering the
brutality involved with the rape and the trauma, she would not have
responded that easily.
There were times the author avoided the language and could have
throughout the story. It still was a good story though.
